At Yorkshire Martial Arts, not only do we teach syllabus work, we also compete in competitions. Our team fights in the Light Continuous and Points Fighting disciplines. We also compete in the ‘Hard Style’ forms bracket which is essentially Karate Kata. You don’t have to have any experience in competition to join the team, we enter competitions for students of every ability and age group from 7 years old.
Mr Hewett is an Area Head Coach for IMAC England and is always on the lookout for future England Team members. The Academy facilitates trial sessions and Team coaching sessions on a regular basis and he will invite you to trial for the team should you show potential.
